Why not the bathtub at home
Anyone who has washed a wet dog in a household tub knows how it goes. The dog is unhappy, the water goes everywhere, and you spend the rest of the afternoon bent over a bathtub with your back complaining. Then comes the shake, and the walls get the second bath.
A wash designed for the job takes most of that off your plate. The tub is up at working height, so you are not kneeling on a bathroom floor, and the mess stays in a room that was built to be wet.
