Picking the right product for the job
Most wrong purchases in the car care aisle come down to mixing up three things that look alike on a shelf. A hand wax is something you apply and buff off, and it takes some patience. A spray wax is quicker and suits a wash-day touch-up. A protectant is for surfaces like vinyl and trim, not for paint.
Match the product to the surface and to the time you actually have. A full afternoon with a bucket points one way, and fifteen minutes in the driveway points another. If you are not sure, ask at the counter before you buy.
